Privacy statement
Personal DataPersonal data are information that can be used to determine your identity. For example, these include information regarding your name or address. This does not apply to information that cannot be directly associated with specific individuals. Basically, you can use our online offer without disclosing your identity. When participating in one of our personalized services, you will be asked separately for such data as are required to complete the services. It is your free decision to participate in these services and enter the appropriate information.
Your information is stored on specially protected servers in Germany. Access is only possible for the necessary number of specially authorized persons who are responsible for the technical, commercial and editorial support of data and servers. In connection with your access, data which may allow identification (e.g. IP address, date, time and pages viewed) are stored on our servers for back-up purposes. These are used only for statistical purposes for the evaluation and the continuous improvement of the quality of our internet offer. Partly this is done by using counting graphics attached to the pages of our offer. However, the data obtained in this way are strictly anonymized and do not allow for any conclusions to be drawn on personal data of the users. Your data will in no case be used to create user profiles – of whatever kind.
Transfer/Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties
As a matter of principle, we do not share personal information with third parties. In particular, there is no disclosure of data to third parties for advertising purposes. However, if you use the personalized services of our offer, the collection of personalized data and their transfer to third parties may be required for the purpose of carrying out and processing the service. However, these data are only stored or transmitted to the extent required for order processing. For that purpose, the submission of an explicit declaration of consent is required when filling in the respective form. By the way, third parties whom your data is passed on to in the context of order processing are also bound by the statutory provisions regarding handling personal data. To the extent we are legally obliged to do so or by court order, we will transmit data to the respective authorities entitled to receive such information.
Cookies
For a user-friendly website experience and to tailor the operations of our website to your needs, some areas of our website may use cookies. A cookie is a small file that is stored locally on your computer when you visit a website. When you revisit the website on the same device, the cookie will indicate, for example, that you are a repeat visitor. Cookies also allow us to analyze the use of our website. They do not include any personal data and cannot identify you on third-party websites––including those of analytics providers.
We use the following types of cookies:
Essential/necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the functioning of our website. This includes, for example, issue of anonymous session IDs to summarize multiple queries to a web server, or ensuring fault-free functioning of registrations and orders.

These cookies help us to save your chosen settings or support other functions when you are navigating our website. They allow us, for example, to remember your preferred settings for your next visit or save your login data for certain areas of our Website.
Performance/statistics cookies
These cookies collect information about how you use our website (e.g. which Internet browser you use, how often you visit our website, which pages you open, or how long you stay on our website). These cookies do not store any information that enables visitors to be personally identified. The information collected with the help of these cookies is aggregated, and thus anonymous.

Anonymized website tracking
To align this website better to our customers’ needs, we analyze how our customers interact with the site.
